GOOD NEWS!
The young Ukrainian girl that took the job in another country has returned home! PRAISE GOD! I have only sketchy details from a friend who just briefly met with her, but basically she is home safe and sound. A wise woman once told me "When you're telling a story, be sure to tell YOUR story, not someone else's"....so I will not go into a lot of details or suppositions. But suffice to say she realizes it could have been very bad for her but thankfully it wasn't. Thank you for your prayers. PLEASE PRAY that this problem would be stopped in Ukraine and Eastern Europe. It is heartbreaking.
That's all for now. Thank you for the comments some of you have left here on my blog...although I don't have a way to respond to some of you and don't have your email addresses! Can you send them? Click here carakyiv@gmail.com to email me (my e-mail address is also always found on every page of this blog spot in the sidebar - under the picture of the hands with water.) But regardless, I've read your comments and thank you for the prayers and encouragement! :)
As always..."More soon"! :)

"Takin' Care of Business"...
Hi all...
Well, any of you old washed-out BTO fans know that "Takin' Care of Business" means "everyday, everyway, and workin' overtime". :) Ok, showing my age and my very cultured taste in music. :)
But seriously I have been very busy lately with life and trying to get all the bells and whistles on this site going that I haven't even let a lot of you know it's here! But I guess if you're reading it you got the word somehow. :)
Just a quick note to say that I'm still here and to ask you to pray for a few urgent things. I feel embarassed putting our request for a van next to these truly vital needs, but God long ago showed me that if something is important to me then it is important also to God...no matter how small. So...here's the most pressing needs. Check the Prayer Request page for more details.
Thanks! More soon!
- A girl from one of our churches has taken a job in a foreign country and it seems very possible that she was yet another naive victim of human-trafficking. PLEASE PRAY! (more details on the prayer request page).
- My neighbor Pasha died of cancer. PLEASE PRAY for his wife Luda, and family. (more details on the prayer request page).
- I have the opportunity to buy a van. PLEASE PRAY that if this is the right choice all the details would work out smoothly and quickly. The owners are running out of time to sell. (more details on the prayer request page.)
Thank you! You don't know how important your prayers are for me. Love...Cara

"I AM HERE! I AM HERE!" ~ or ~ "Horton Hears a Who - Revisted...the Ukraine Years"
Hello Everyone! :)
I hope I'm not the only who remembers the Dr. Suess classic book "Horton Hears a Who". Remember? Horton the Elephant hears a sound coming from a dust speck and upon closer inspection realizes that it is voices hollering out to him saying "WE ARE HERE! WE ARE HERE!"
Now, I am in no way comparing any of you reading this to elephants. Nor am I saying that Ukraine is a dust speck. BUT I am saying that after a much-too long absence of communication (thank you for your grace!!), "I AM STILL HERE! :)
I am still working on figuring out this blogging deal, but it seems like a good way to keep in touch. Like they used to print on the billboards..."WATCH THIS SPACE"! :) There'll be more here soon.
In His Grace,
Cara :)
